The standard paint finish for double skin underground storage tanks is Black Bitumen, with the option of Polyurethane or Two-Coat
Epoxy. A heavy duty ground level manhole cover and frame (760mm x 610mm) and multi-compartment tanks are available as optional extras.

Installation
Having decided on a tank to meet your requirements a pit is excavated of suitable size and location. The base is a slab constructed
of 150mm reinforced concrete and extends 300mm minimum outside the tank line. Concrete retainer walls may be constructed if needed.
The tank is lifted into position and secured with holding-down straps, making sure that the tank is level both vertically and
horizontally. The tank must be encased with pea gravel, washed sand, urea amino plastic foam (or concrete, subject to draft code
of practice 2000 exclusion) to a depth of 150mm excluding the manhole lid. The pipe work contractor now completes the installation.
The manhole chamber is completed and the surrounding area is topped up with hard core and a reinforced concrete slab at ground level
is poured.
